Alina Lee is the owner and Managing Partner of the seven-person law firm Your Ad Attorney, which provides legal counseling and on-demand secondments to support busy in-house counsel and small business owners. Her firm's practice has a focus in transactional matters in marketing, technology, IP, and custom contract drafting.
Prior to starting her law firm, Alina was Senior Counsel at the tech marketing company Mailchimp where she was the lead attorney over the marketing department, soft IP, and several software development projects. Prior to Mailchimp, Alina was Senior Counsel for Southern Company Gas where she was one of two attorneys who oversaw all legal matters for the subsidiary that is the largest natural gas retail company in the USA. Before going in-house, Alina was in private practice at Morris Manning & Martin (AmLaw 200) and Rogers & Hardin (now Smith Gambrell Russell).
Alina graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School at age 21. Prior to that, she graduated from the University of Georgia (UGA) for her undergraduate degree at age 17. In college, she competed on UGA’s top 5 ranked varsity women’s golf team and is believed to be the youngest winner of an NCAA collegiate golf tournament (age 16).
Outside of work, Alina has served in over fifteen volunteer leadership positions at over fourteen nonprofits. Notably, she served as the Founding Board Chair of the award-winning nonprofit “We Love Buford Highway” throughout the organization’s first five years. We Love Buford Highway supports the multicultural diversity of Metro Atlanta through telling immigrant stories, commissioning multicultural art, and providing food aid. She was also a founding member of Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta’s “Spring Board” (40 and under board), where she served for over 4 years. Alina currently serves on the Advisory Council to WABE (Atlanta’s NPR Station) and is on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association (GAPABA).
Alina lives in Atlanta, Georgia and is married to Alex Meier, a Partner in the Labor & Employment group at Seyfarth Shaw (AmLaw 100). They enjoy golfing together and playing with their rescue dog, Lucy.
